Warriors and DKs both have far better options to close distance then pallies do, honestly. Yes we can destroy warriors and DKs in close combat, but really anything ranged can eat a ret pally up. It sounds like a L2P issue to me if you have a class that can do some kiting, since pallies are the laughing stock of all kiter classes.

A skilled hunter can kite a paladin all day long AND has a pet. One bubble to heal or close distance, after that our HoF gets stolen and we won't survive the next shattercombo. How else are we supposed to even fight a kiter class? Against a mage we can't do anything really.
